Give-first playtesting for solo game buildersBuilt for the AI game-dev wave

Test their game.
Get yours tested.

Patchloop is a give-first playtest exchange. Play another builder's game and leave useful feedback to earn Signals you can use to open seats for your own build. More open seats mean more visibility in the tester queue; each reservation lets another game rise. No follower count. No self-promo lottery.

PATCHLOOP ECONOMY

Signals open tester seats.

Signals are earned playtest credit. A seat is one opening for a tester. Before a playtest opens, every seat's Signal reward is set aside.

SIGNALSCredit you earn and use

Your Signal balance opens future tester seats. Using it never erases your contribution record.

SEATSOpenings with rewards set aside

Each seat carries the Signal reward quoted from that mission's time and proof requirements.

WHEN A BUILDER OPENS A PLAYTEST
4 seats3 Signals each12 Signals reserved

Completed seats pay their quoted Signals to testers. Credit behind unused seats returns to the builder when the mission closes.

WHY OPEN SEATS DRIVE DISCOVERY

Unfilled seats are a request for community help.

  1. More seats open

Your game has more testing need, so it receives more queue visibility.

  2. Testers reserve

Each claim lowers the open-seat count and gradually eases that visibility.

  3. Another game rises

Attention moves toward builders who still have more open seats to fill.

To open more seats for your own game, earn more Signals by completing useful tests for other builders.

HOW TESTERS EARN

The brief rewards valid work first. Helpful impact can add more.

  1. Complete a playtest mission

Earn the full Signals quoted on the seat when your valid response is submitted. The builder cannot withhold them because the feedback is critical.

    Quoted Signals
  2. Mission response marked helpful

The builder can add one helpful-response bonus for the whole run, whether the useful feedback is praise, friction, a bug, or a suggestion.

  3. Verified shipped impact

If a helpful mission response leads to a shipped change and a later independent check verifies it, the original contributor earns another bonus.

  4. Independent note marked helpful

You may leave feedback outside a playtest mission. It has no completion reward, but earns a smaller bonus if the builder marks it helpful.

How Patchloop works

Give useful feedback. Earn your turn.

Every valid completed test earns its quoted Signals. A builder can add a helpful-response bonus, and independently verified shipped impact earns more. Use Signals to open tester seats on your own game.

THE GIVE-FIRST EXCHANGEUSEFUL WORK IN · TESTING CAPACITY OUT
1 · HELP ANOTHER BUILDERPick a game with an open seat

See the exact build, question, timebox, and credit before you commit. Play it and leave feedback the builder can use.

2 · Earn Signals
3 · OPEN SEATS FOR YOURSPut your build in front of testers

Use Signals to open one or more seats. Games with more unfilled seats surface sooner; each reservation gradually gives that visibility to another builder.

More open seats signal more unmet testing need, so those games rise first. As seats fill, their promotion tapers. After any one-time starter credit, testing other builders is how you earn more Signals; reach cannot be bought.
WHAT YOU GET

Fresh eyes without an audience.

You do not need followers or launch-day hype. Showing up for other builders earns the capacity to ask the network for help.

WHAT TESTERS GET

A clear ask and fair credit.

Each seat names the build, question, time, and Signal reward up front. Critical feedback earns the same credit as praise.

Walk through the exchange

Games to test now

If it's here, a builder is asking for fresh eyes.

Only safety-reviewed playtests with open seats and Signal rewards set aside appear here. Games with the most seats still needing testers rise first; each reservation lowers that game's promotion.

All open seats are taken—for now.

The queue only shows games that are actively ready for testers. Join to open seats for your game, or see how earning and using Signals works in the demo.

A home for solo game builders

We're all building. We can all be useful.

AI tools make it possible to ship faster than most of us can build an audience. Patchloop turns that crowd of builders into each other's testing network.

01 / Give fresh eyes

Play rough builds with purpose.

Choose a focused question, play before the answer is obvious, and tell another builder exactly where the experience clicked or fell apart.

See games waiting for testers
02 / Get fresh eyes

Open seats when your build is ready.

Use the Signals you earned to set aside each tester's reward. More open seats create more queue visibility; as they fill, your game yields that attention to the next builder.

See how seats open
03 / Learn together

Share what actually helped.

Keep tool choices, agent workflows, and practical lessons attached to real builds so the next builder can learn from more than a launch post.

Why Patchloop exists

Proof that feedback mattered

See the help turn into a better build.

Patchloop keeps the original feedback, the builder's decision, the shipped change, and an independent re-test connected. Useful work—not hype—earns credit.
